    Description

    The Rugged Advantage bagless backpack vacuum cleaner uses a high-suction power vacuum motor to deliver exceptional cleaning.

    The vacuum uses multi-cyclone filtration technology to deliver consistent vacuuming performance. The HEPA Motor Filter provides high filtration efficiencies.

    The machine construction uses commercial-quality lightweight materials. The Bin construction uses antibacterial plastics to reduce dust adhesion. This material aids maintenance cleaning and prevents bacteria propagation.

    The Advantage uses resilient foam padding, with a sweat-guard, high denier, tough nylon fabric covering to provide endurance and body protection. The contoured profile Shoulder Pads provide a comfortable fit around the neck area. The Back Pad offers complete back support. The Waist Pad uses a stretch elastic to fit all body sizes, and for quick and easy adjustment, use hook and loop fastening.

    The quick exchange cord restraint reduces cord stretch.

    The “crush-proof,” smooth bore, antibacterial hose promotes air flow and eliminates smelly bacteria growth in the hose corrugations.

    The stainless-steel rods resist corrosion and are lighter to use.

    Advantage Turbo has a full complement of tools. The general-purpose EZ2GO floor tool is suitable for vacuuming large, bulky materials on carpet and hard floors.

    The Turbo Brush floor tool grooms and agitates the carpet pile, removing dust deep in the carpet pile and hair from the carpet surface.

    The hard floor tool is suitable for both tiled and timber floors. This tool provides a sweep action while vacuuming, and the brush bristles aid in dust removal from tile grout lines and floor surfaces.

    Emptying the dustbin is at the press of a button.

    The Mesh Filter maintenance requires wiping using the microfiber duster. Motor filter maintenance needs the removal of loose dust from the filter pleats by tapping, followed by rinsing for complete refurbishment. Please refer to “How to Clean the Motor Filter” for detailed instructions.

    Warranty

    WARRANTY

    Vacuum cleaners manufactured by Rugged Industries Pty Ltd are to the highest quality standards. We encourage you to care for your product and follow the instructions in this manual, and in turn you will benefit with a product that provides performance and long life.
    The following statement is a requirement under Australian Consumer Law and applies to consumer sale of goods and services. In this statement “Our” means Rugged Industries and “you” means original purchaser.
    “Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure”
    In addition to guarantees under Australian Consumer Law, Rugged Industries warrants the Advantage vacuum cleaner and model variants against faulty material and/or workmanship for a period of one year, from the date of purchase by the consumer, when operated and maintained in accordance with the instructions in this Manual.
    The following explains conditions and what to do in the event of a claim:
    Rugged Industries or authorized Service Agent or person will replace parts determined as faulty, but this does not apply to normal consumable, wear, and rotating parts that require replacement under normal use, including but not limited to rubber parts, filters, hoses, power cords, floor tools, dusting brush, crevice tools, upholstery tool, tool caddy, turbine brush etc.
    Warranty does not cover any machine or component that has been altered, abused, neglected, modified or used with non-genuine Rugged Industry components.
    Warranty does not cover damage by transportation, freight, delivery, product return, accident, misapplication, improper service or maintenance, blockages, vacuuming water or bulk powder, moist carpet, use or other instructions not in accordance with the instructions in this Manual.
    All repairs and servicing during the warranty period must be carried out by Rugged Industries Pty Ltd or authorised Rugged Industries Service Agent or person. Rugged Industries Pty Ltd or authorised Service Agent may request you to complete a Warranty Claim / Stock Return Form or other similar form before returning any goods. All reasonable expenses associated with any transportation in returning goods for a warranty claim are the consumer’s responsibility, and in all instances the product is transported at the owner’s risk.
    Rugged Industries will not be responsible for cost of repairs or damages caused by unauthorised persons.
    Warranty claims must be made within the warranty period and proof of purchase must be supplied with the claim.

    REFUNDS

    Please choose your purchase carefully as a refund may not be provided if you simply change your mind. Repairs, refunds or exchanges will not be accepted or provided unless the goods are faulty.
    Products purchased cannot be returned without prior written confirmation from Rugged Industries Pty Ltd
    We endeavor to process all refunds with 7 business days of approval.

    CHANGE OF MIND

    If you simply change your mind, and the product(s) are unopened and still in their original packaging, you may return them to our warehouse within 30 days of purchase at your own cost less a 10% restocking fee. You must call Rugged Industries Pty Ltd prior to returning orders for instructions on how to do this.

    RETURNS

    If
    • A product is damaged or faulty through no fault of your own and you can provide evidence of the damage / fault;
    • Incorrect goods were supplied.
    Rugged Industries Pty Ltd will, upon return of the product, offer you a refund, repair or exchange in accordance with the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 within a reasonable time if you are able to provide a receipt or other satisfactory proof of purchase

    CUSTOMER REQUESTED RETURNS

    Please consider carefully your request for product return for performance loss. Service fees and freight charges will apply if in the sole assessment of our service department, product performance loss is contributable to inadequate maintenance, lack of filter replacement, product negligence, misuse, or inappropriate application.
    If in the assessment of our service department part failure is not contributable to inadequate maintenance, lack of filter replacement, product negligence, misuse, or inappropriate application, and the vacuum cleaner is returned cleaned, parts, labor and return freight will be provided free of charge. Cleaning fees apply for vacuums returned in a dirty condition.

    CORRECT USE AND MAINTENANCE

    1. Do not fill past the MAX level marked on the bin. The Max level is marked below the perforated Mesh Filter in the back ground which forms the air path to the internal cyclones that provide fine dust filtration. The Mesh Filter must be kept clean at all times to ensure sufficient airflow for cyclonic filtration.
    2. Clean the Mesh Filter using the duster provided each time you empty the bin. Refer to the video.
    3. The Motor Filter is located under the Bin. Remove Motor Filter cover to access. Clean the Motor Filter by rinsing both sides until the rinse water is clear in colour.Re-use the filter when it is completely dry.
    4. Please read the Instruction Manual supplied with the machine.

      Advantage Classic Bagless Back Pack Vacuum Cleaner
      When buying this vacuum I was concerned about the weight, 4.9kg. My wife previously used a Pullman that is 5.5 kg and the difference didn’t seem all that great.
      However, let me say that there is a world of difference, it is so much lighter. My wife is 42kg and she said that she hardly notices the weight.
      It also performs great.
      So if it is a lightweight vacuum that works then this is the one.

      Brilliant product. I have two large dogs and the vacuum performed brilliantly. The nobility and portability was important as the house as many flights of stairs. The large collection tank is very useful. Quality made Australian product, highly recommend.

      So good I just bought a second one
      I have been in the cleaning business for 30 + years and just bought this vacuum cleaner for my own house. I have dogs that shed a lot and bring dirt into the house a lot. I used this vacuum cleaner and was amazed how much dirt and dog fur it got out of my carpets. I then used it in other locations and was so happy I just placed an order for a second one for my business. It’s the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used. It is easy to handle, light-weight, and comes with a lead long enough to get you anywhere in the house. I love that it is bag-less and I can see what’s in there and how much dust I am collecting. very satisfying. Also in my business and with the corona threat people don’t want me to use the same bag I used in another house so I just clean it all out after each house and voila a clean vacuum cleaner put’s people’s mind at ease. I can even spray a bit of disinfectant on the clean out wand and it’s doubly clean. The clean out wand is something else you don’t get from some of those other more well known brands. Often it is impossible to get their container clean because there is no space to get anything in there to wipe it clean. This one has a brilliant wand and it wipes it clean in a matter of seconds. The hose is also anti-bacterial so it won’t start smelling if you sucked up something nasty. The service is super fast. My vacuum cleaner arrived within 36 hours of ordering. I can highly recommend this product. It is comfortable to wear, too.

      So I ordered 4 dusting brushes but they weren’t the original oval ones as they couldn’t get a supply of the original oval ones I got sent square ones. They weren’t the easiest to use and kept leaving black marks on the wall if you got to close. I contacted Rugged just to ask if I could order the original oval dusting brushes and they were more than happy to help me out. I absolutely love the rugged industries vacuum cleaner and the accessories it’s an amazing piece of equipment that helps make my business run smoothly. I tell all my cleaner friend these vacuums are a must and they won’t regret there decision in purchasing one. Thank you guys this product is truely amazing.

      A superb Vacuum Cleaner!!!
      This has to be one of the best vacuum cleaners I have ever used in all of my cleaning life! I have never met such a fantastic Australian made product like from the Rugged Range. From my first use of this unit- I fell in love!! It is both practical, powerful and easy to use! Many beautiful features- I must say the long cable allows me to canvass much of the brotherhood without the annoyance of unplugging and plugging elsewhere to continue the cleaning.

      AMAZING PRODUCT
      We purchased this product as my sister and I started a cleaning business a few months back and needed to replace the old vacuum. This product is unbelievable! The amount of dust and grime it collected from deep inside the carpet was insane. Our clients carpets looked so good that they looked like they didn’t even need to be steam cleaned afterward. Super powerful and quality product. Customer service was fantastic also.
