The Rugged Excite is a 4L dry, commercial backpack vacuum for heavy-duty commercial applications where vacuuming is required regardless of the soiling level or floor surface.

Motor Function

With conventional vacuum cleaners using flow-through vacuum motors, vacuuming heavily soiled floors will rapidly clog the vacuum cleaner’s filters and risk activation of the thermal protector, which increases operator downtime while the engine is cooling. When vacuuming damp areas or wet spills with conventional vacuums, the electrical short-circuiting risk of the vacuum motor also increases.

Excite is fitted with a twin turbine by-pass motor to overcome these issues. The primary fan at one end of the motor does the vacuuming, and an additional fan does the cooling at the opposite end. The motor discharges air away from the electricals, reducing the risk of electrical short circuits, and the motor cooling eliminates the need for thermal protectors. This feature provides vacuuming at low airflows without expensive stoppages or risk of motor damage.

The twin turbine fan blades provide high suction at low speed, reducing wear and providing long motor life. The motor has replaceable carbon brushes, which can add 300 more hours of life before requiring replacement.

Ergonomics, Frame, and Harness

The frame construction uses lightweight impact-grade plastics. The padding has endurance sweat guard tough fabric covering, resilient foam padding, loop over-frame contoured, wide, comfort shoulder pads, vertical and laterally adjustable sternum strap, Hook and Loop zip-up back pad, and extra wide double stretch elastic hook and loop waist padding with onboard tool holders. Fitting of all replacement padding is tools-free.
