The key feature of the 5L capacity Advantage Turbo bagless cyclonic backpack vacuum cleaner is the air-driven turbo brush floor tool, which provides the highest dust removal per square meter of carpet of all the vacuum cleaners in the Rugged vacuum cleaner range. The Turbo brush grooms and agitates the carpet pile, removing embedded dust.
It also removes hair and loose carpet fibre from the surface. Vacuuming with the turbo brush aerates the carpet, making it healthier, fresher, and cleaner.
Motor Performance and Blockage Protection
Bagless multi-cyclone technology and a powerful 1450W high-efficiency vacuum motor minimize losses from clogging filter bags and weaker motors, thereby providing lasting top-cleaning performance.
The vacuum motor uses single turbine blades in a flow-through configuration to deliver high-efficiency performance. High efficiency means reduced heat emission from the motor, and high airflow, which is essential for good vacuum cleaning.
The vacuum uses a thermal switch to protect the engine from overheating from blockages or clogged filters. Thermal protection ensures safety and reliability even in the most challenging applications.
Ergonomics, Frame, and Harness
The frame construction uses lightweight impact-grade plastics. The padding has endurance sweat guard tough fabric covering, resilient foam padding, loop over-frame contoured, wide, comfort shoulder pads, vertical and laterally adjustable sternum strap, hook-and-loop zip-up back pad, and extra wide double stretch elastic hook-and-loop waist padding with onboard tool holders. Fitting of all replacement padding is tools-free.

- Stainless steel rods are light and provide corrosion protection when in storage with cleaning chemicals.
- The vacuum cleaner’s hose has a smooth bore to promote airflow. Its thick wall provides “crush-proof” properties suited to commercial use. The hose’s antimicrobial additives kill microbes trapped in the convolutions, controlling odour.
- In addition to the Turbo Brush, the Advantage Turbo vacuum cleaner package contains a versatile, commercial, low-profile EZ2GO floor tool designed to remove bulky materials from carpet and hard floors.
- The 36cm wide Hard Floor Tool suits tiled and timber floors. It sweeps while vacuuming, and the brush bristles remove dust from tile grout lines and floor surfaces.
- The swivel-neck Dusting Brush is also helpful for vacuuming cornices, wall corners, and horizontal and vertical surfaces.
- The slotted Crevice Tool is ideal for vacuuming hard-to-reach spaces, preventing front-on-nozzle blockage.
- The Upholstery Tool suits vacuuming fabric sofa lounges or narrow spaces.
- The package includes 10 Motor Filters that can be maintained by rinsing.

Advantage Classic Bagless Back Pack Vacuum Cleaner
When buying this vacuum I was concerned about the weight, 4.9kg. My wife previously used a Pullman that is 5.5 kg and the difference didn’t seem all that great.
However, let me say that there is a world of difference, it is so much lighter. My wife is 42kg and she said that she hardly notices the weight.
It also performs great.
So if it is a lightweight vacuum that works then this is the one.

So good I just bought a second one
I have been in the cleaning business for 30 + years and just bought this vacuum cleaner for my own house. I have dogs that shed a lot and bring dirt into the house a lot. I used this vacuum cleaner and was amazed how much dirt and dog fur it got out of my carpets. I then used it in other locations and was so happy I just placed an order for a second one for my business. It’s the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used. It is easy to handle, light-weight, and comes with a lead long enough to get you anywhere in the house. I love that it is bag-less and I can see what’s in there and how much dust I am collecting. very satisfying. Also in my business and with the corona threat people don’t want me to use the same bag I used in another house so I just clean it all out after each house and voila a clean vacuum cleaner put’s people’s mind at ease. I can even spray a bit of disinfectant on the clean out wand and it’s doubly clean. The clean out wand is something else you don’t get from some of those other more well known brands. Often it is impossible to get their container clean because there is no space to get anything in there to wipe it clean. This one has a brilliant wand and it wipes it clean in a matter of seconds. The hose is also anti-bacterial so it won’t start smelling if you sucked up something nasty. The service is super fast. My vacuum cleaner arrived within 36 hours of ordering. I can highly recommend this product. It is comfortable to wear, too.

So I ordered 4 dusting brushes but they weren’t the original oval ones as they couldn’t get a supply of the original oval ones I got sent square ones. They weren’t the easiest to use and kept leaving black marks on the wall if you got to close. I contacted Rugged just to ask if I could order the original oval dusting brushes and they were more than happy to help me out.
